AT&T confirms iPhone 5 launch date for October

21 August 2011 - Not many weeks ago, the whole tech industry was undecided on the official iPhone 5 launch date. Without an official announcement from Apple, they have had to resort to rumours and speculations to determine it. The dates have spanned from August to October for the possible launch date, but recent reports seem to be agreeing on a timeframe.


The launch was looking to be in early October, and now, October 7th is the decisive date, corroborated by an inside source from AT&T.
Jim Dalrymple, the ex-MacWorld editor known for being perceptive of the industry, confirmed the information with a simple “yep.”. Unless Apple experiences a major setback, you should expect the iPhone 5 to be out within the first week of October.
